Life According to Literature: 2014

As the new year is upon us, it’s once again time to answer the annual ‘Life According to Literature’ survey. Meme found over at Catherine Pope – Victorian Geek. Get amongst it.

Librarian(True story. Happy New Year!)

THE RULES: Using only books you have read this year, answer these questions. Try not to repeat a book title.

Describe yourself: The Land of Steady Habits (Ted Thompson)

How do you feel: Brood (Chase Novak)

Describe where you currently live: The Winter People (Jennifer McMahon)

If you could go anywhere, where would you go: Road to Reckoning (Robert Lautner)

Your favourite form of transportation: A Man Came Out of the Door in the Mountain (Adrienne Harun)

(Where’s this door in the mountain? Where does it go? Can I try it?)

Your best friend is: Honor’s Knight (Rachel Bach)

You and your friends are: The Supernatural Enhancements (Edgar Cantero)

What’s the weather like: Just After Sunset (Stephen King)

You fear: The Heart Does Not Grow Back (Fred Venturini)

What is the best advice you have to give: How To Build a Girl (Caitlin Moran)

Thought for the day: Why Are You So Sad? (Jason Porter)

How I would like to die: In the Land of Love and Drowning (Tiphanie Yanique)

My soul’s present condition: This Dark Road to Mercy (Wiley Cash)

If you’re curious, check out my answers for 2012 and 2013.

As ever, I’d love to see your answers. What one book title sums up your year?

It seems that we have in common some extra personal stress as of late- here’s hoping that the new year brings a reprieve for us both. Happy New Year!

Great meme/awesome recap of the year! I really, really need to get around to the other two books by Rachel Bach sometime this year, I’ve been recommending Fortune’s Pawn left, right, and centre for the last two months or so, lol. Happy New Year! :)

I LOVED by Fortune’s Pawn, and really, the whole trilogy, though Fortune’s Pawn was definitely the highlight.

I love this meme. I especially liked your answers to ‘describe yourself’ and ‘you fear’. What a horrible thought – that the heart does not grow back. I’m convinced it nearly always does!
