It’s Monday, February 23. What Are You Reading?

feb 23

Despite a cold a snowy weekend, I didn’t get to read as much as I would’ve like. I did spend quite a bit of time commuting to and from work though, so I made progress on the audio version of Bag of Bones by Stephen King. In preparation for March, where I try to fit in as much Stephen King as possible, I’m starting Eyes of the Dragon (anyone read this one?). I also just started Canary by Duane Swierczynski, which I’m not far enough into to make a judgment call yet, but I’m hoping it’s good.

I’m at home today with my very sick 4 year old. I feel like this winter has been atrocious in terms of health, if it’s not the flu than it’s another cold. Stay warm and healthy, fellow readers.

What are you reading?

I struggled with the Bag of Bones audio. I think it’s just me though. It was actually the first time I tried audio, and I was both listening and reading the story. The parts I listened to though, just went in one ear and out of the other. I would pick up the book to read and not have any recollection of certain characters being introduced. Oh well, at least I tried!

Sorry to hear your son is sick. It’s hard when they are so young. I hope he feels better soon!

I haven’t read either of those Stephen King’s, but I also haven’t read that many of his books. Hope you enjoy your SK March!

Eyes of the Dragon was one I was hoping to get to in March as well as The Long Walk and I’m contemplating starting The Gunslinger (finally).

Hope all is better by now! I did get some reading done in that snow and cold last week, but that doesn’t usually happen…usually have a million things taking my time. But now I’m reading Eleanor and Park!

I remember reading The Eyes of the Dragon many years ago- one of the first Stephen King novels I read. I remember enjoying it, although it’s hard to remember many details from yonder days! How did you like it?
