Now Reading

Sometimes you just have to revisit the classics in a fresh form. I recently finished Ana of California, a modern take on Anne of Green Gables and I’ve just started Re Jane, a retelling of Jane Eyre. To say I’m excited is an understatement (for those who haven’t caught on to my love of all things Jane Eyre, see this post and this one and so many more).

There is a strong, inverse relationship between how fast I read fiction and how slow I read non-fiction.  That being said, I am still working my way through All the Wild That Remains by David Gessner. Good stuff, slow going…

What are you reading this week?

Loved Re Jane! I assume you read Margot Livesey’s The Flight of Gemma Hardy which is more traditional in it’s retelling, but also a great read.

Thanks, I started updating it and got sidetracked. It’s only halfway installed (no header yet, no side profile picture, etc.). Oops!

You haven’t read Jane Eyre?! It’s an absolute must.

I so need to read Jane Eyre again. (Or maybe I’ll do the quick version and watch the movie because last time I read the book it took me forever.) Looking forward to seeing the new blog design when it is finished. I like the black, white and green.
