Now Reading…

Joe Hill Short StoriesI’ve had some trouble concentrating this week, there’s just too much going on the summer. This is not necessarily a bad thing. There’s been lots of time spent hiking and swimming and otherwise just lounging around and enjoying summer. I’ve also spent sizable chunk of time watching bad television: Forbidden Plant, Mecha Shark vs Mega Shark, you get the idea. This lead me to thinking about campy movie posters. I want one, or several, if I’m being honest. Who doesn’t want a poster of First Spaceship on Venus?! I digress. The whole point of this post is to tell you what I’m reading, and due to the concentration/time issues, I’ve been reading a lot of short stories. Joe Hill, if I’m getting specific. I recently downloaded Wolverton Station, Twittering from the Circus of the Dead, and By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain. I’ve already finished one of the three and I’ll let you guess which…

What are you reading? Thoughts on campy movies?

I wish I would read more short stories, but I’ve never been one to do that unless they were part of an anthology with authors whose novels I’ve read and enjoyed. There’s nothing wrong with lounging and enjoying summer. We only get summer once per year, so enjoy it. 😉

I still want to see Sharknado. I was super excited when it came out but my husband didn’t see the TOTAL FREAKING FUN behind it and sorta rained on my parade (not that I should have let him).

I rarely read short stories. I think I’m so focused on all the full length books I want to read that I forgot about the short stories.
