Life According to Literature 2015

As the new year is upon us, it’s once again time to answer the annual ‘Life According to Literature’ survey. Meme found over at Catherine Pope – Victorian Geek, though she didn’t post one for 2015, so I’m linking back to 2014. Get amongst it.
Nancy DrewImage included solely for my love of Nancy Drew and the fact that she can neither die, nor make the smart choice. In other news, have you seen these?!

Describe yourself:
Girl Waits with Gun (Amy Stewart)

How do you feel: A Death (Stephen King)

Describe where you currently live: Paradise Sky (Joe R. Lansdale)

If you could go anywhere, where would you go: By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain (Joe Hill)

Your favourite form of transportation: Armada (Ernest Cline)

Your best friend is: The Martian (Andy Weir)

You and your friends are: The Monkey Wrench Gang (Edward Abbey)

What’s the weather like: The Winter Family (Clifford Jackman)

You fear: Blood and Salt (Kim Liggett)

What is the best advice you have to give: Get in Trouble (Kelly Link)

Thought for the day: The Summer is Over and We Are Not Yet Saved (Joey Comeau)

How I would like to die: Beneath the Bonfire (Nickolas Butler)

My soul’s present condition: Unholy Ghost(s) (Stacia Kane)

Happy New Year! How is your life, according to the literature you read?

You stress me out with your “How do you feel?” answer but I’m guessing (hoping) that’s because you have to endure horrid snow at the moment.

Yeah, everything is good, it’s even warmed up a little.

Number 1-2 make me happy that it’s a new year for you! Hopefully it’s one of happiness. But, I get ya. I had some of my own moments in 2015.

I’m glad you did this! I have before and it’s fun. Maybe I’ll get around to it this week.

It’s fun and easy, which is what I need. I’d say this year has to be better, but I am afraid to jinx it, so I’ll just leave it at that.

Girl Waits with Gun was just the only remotely applicable title I had, because otherwise I am vehemently anti-gun.

Thank you for the nudge, Rory – I’ve just posted mine for 2015. http://blog.catherinepope.co.uk/2016/01/life-according-to-literature-2015/
